Ingredients
1 piece (112.5gm) Capital Hot Italian Sausage
Mariano larger drizzle of Olive Oil
1 med Onion
1 large Clove Garlic
2 Sticks Celery
3/4 cup Diced Italian Parsley
24 ounce Jar of Crushed Tomatoes & Basil
1/2 cup White Wine
1 tbs Butter
1 Bunched Boiled/Steamed Rapini
500 g Penne Pasta
1 pinch Chili Flakes (optional)
1 Sundried tomato (optional)
Grated Parmesan for garnish
Directions
- Chop a medium-sized Onion, two sticks of Celery, and 1 large clove of Garlic. Add to a pan with Olive Oil and begin to cook over medium-high heat. Chop up some Italian Parsley and add to the pan. Cook until the ingredients become golden in color.
- Open a jar of crushed Tomatoes with Basil and add to the cooking vegetables. Lower the heat to medium, stir, and begin to simmer the sauce. Grab some White Wine and add it to the empty jar of Tomatoes. Swirl it around to get the remaining bits and clean the jar. Add this Tomato-Wine mixture to the sauce and stir gently. Add about a tablespoon of butter optionally add chili flakes to the sauce for extra heat and chopped sundried tomato for extra flavor
- Begin to cook the pasta. Add 500g Penne pasta to a medium pot of salted boiling water.
- Slice up some Capital Hot Italian Sausage and begin to fry in a pan with Olive Oil on Medium-High heat.
- When the Pasta is cooked to your liking, strain it and add it to a large serving bowl. Spoon the tomato sauce over the pasta and give it a mix. Garnish with steamed or boiled Rapini and the cooked Mariano’s Italian Sausage. Top with grated Parmesan cheese and serve with a smile!
